The Royal Cavalry at PFERD International in Munich 2011

The Royal Cavalry of Oman was a guest star of the PFERD INTERNATIONAL (international horse show) in Munich from June 2 to June 5, 2011, at the Olympic Equestiran Centre, Riem.

The 12 male and 12 female riders gave daily performances on their magnificently decorated horses.

In attendance for the appearance of the Royal Cavalry were Mrs Zainab Al-Qasmiah, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in Berlin; Brigadier Abdul Razak Al-Shahorzi, Commander of the Royal Cavalry; Salim Al-Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion; and Nicky Samarasinghe, Director of Oman Air, Germany.

The Ministry of Tourism and Oman Air had their own information booths for visitors to the horse show, and in a Bedouin tent guests were treated to Omani specialties, such as Omani cardamon coffee (kahwa), sweets (halwa) and dates.
