An exhibition of the Geographic Society, Berlin and the German-Omani Association in the House of the Geographic Society, Berlin from 4. March to 30. April 1994
The exhibition followed the idea to present the Sultanate of Oman, which is generally little known and usually only prejudice to the dollar heavy petroleum producers, not in common stereotypes, but by its people and their craft products.
A few of the pictures included the four dominant landscapes: the coast, the mountains, the gravel / gravel fields and the sand desert. The "human images" were devoted to the traders in the Suqs, the Bedouins in the interior of the country, the oasis inhabitants, the women and the children (the photographs were made between 1974 and 1990).
These pictures expressed my gratitude to the illustrated friends and to many other people, who not only made my research stay in Oman easier but also an unforgettable experience.
